The Taktisphere Is Live: The Community Built for Digital Embellishment (Finally)
If you work in digital embellishment, you have probably felt this at some point: the most exciting, most profitable, most “how did they do that?” part of print somehow keeps getting treated like a side conversation. It shows up as a breakout session. A hallway chat. A random thread. Then everyone goes back to talking about everything else.
That ends now.
On March 2, 2026, we are officially launching the Taktisphere, a first-of-its-kind global community built exclusively for the digital print embellishment ecosystem. It is designed for printers, designers, brands, and OEMs who want a dedicated home for education, collaboration, and real professional connection around one of the fastest-growing and most strategically important segments of the print industry.
Why we built this
Digital embellishments have moved beyond novelty. Foils, textures, varnishes, tactile effects, dimensional coatings, specialty finishes, all of it is now central to differentiation, margin, and brand impact. The demand is real, the opportunity is real, and the stakes are rising fast as more markets become more competitive and more commoditized.
What has been missing is not the technology. What has been missing is a place for the people. A focused home where the people designing, selling, producing, and enabling embellishment can learn from one another in a way that actually moves the needle.
That is the gap the Taktisphere was created to fill.
As Eric Vessels, our Chief Experience Officer at Taktiful, put it: “For years, embellishments have lived on the edges of broader print conversations. At the same time, they have quietly become one of the most powerful tools in print. Taktisphere exists because this space has outgrown being a side topic.”
What makes the Taktisphere different
The Taktisphere is purpose-built for the real-world realities of digital embellishment. That means it is not trying to be everything to everyone. It is not a generic print forum. It is not a social platform where your best insight gets buried under unrelated noise. It is a focused environment where the people who actually care about embellishment can go deep, ask better questions, share what is working, and learn faster.
Designers come here to push creative boundaries and understand what is possible. Printers come here to learn how to sell, price, and scale high-value embellished work without guessing. OEMs come here to support users better by staying close to what the market is experiencing. Brands come here to understand how tactile print drives engagement, perception, and value in the real world.
At the end of the day, this is where education meets community. It is not about hype. It is about the conversations that happen when people doing the work finally have a room designed for them.
What you can expect at launch
At launch, the Taktisphere will offer a mix of live programming, community discussion, and early access to structured learning. You will see regular themed virtual meetups, industry-led educational sessions focused on design, production, and business strategy, and open community discussions across the topics that actually matter in day-to-day life, like estimating, pricing, workflow, and sales enablement.
You will also get early access to training programs and certification initiatives as they roll out. The goal is simple: help the entire ecosystem level up, whether you are trying to win more premium work, reduce production friction, or simply get better at explaining the value of embellishment to customers who have never touched it before.
Founding Member badge and yes, it comes with perks
To celebrate the launch, anyone who joins during the opening window receives a Founding Member badge on their profile. This is not just a vanity sticker. Over time, that badge will unlock secret account-level perks, including early access opportunities and special recognition as the community grows.
If you are here early, you should be treated like you were here early. That is the whole point.
The Advisory Council: keeping it grounded in reality
A community like this only works if it stays practical and connected to what is happening in the market right now. To help guide programming and keep the Taktisphere anchored in real-world experience, we have built an Advisory Council made up of leaders from across the embellishment ecosystem. Council members provide input on community priorities, learning tracks, and event themes, ensuring the Taktisphere stays relevant and aligned with where the space is heading.
Here are the Inaugural Taktisphere Advisory Council Members:
April Lytle (Scodix), Sean Roberts (Konica Minolta), Andrew Gunn (FUJIFILM), Mike Scrutton (Adobe), Dino Pagliarello (Sharp), Paul Furse (Harris & Bruno), Ileana Barber (Xerox), Frederic Soulier (MGI), Brad Drever (Skandacor), Rick Salinas (Duplo), Edgar Davin (Big Dawgs), Christine Yardley (Print Panther), David Baird (Truly Engaging), Al Kennickell (Kennickell Group), Sabine Lenz (PaperSpecs), Jeff Peterson (FSEA), Adam Dewitz (WhatTheyThink), David Leskusky (Napco / PRINTING United), Jason Leonard (Neenah Paper), and Karlien Murray (Clampitt Paper).
We are grateful for this group, and we built it intentionally to represent design, production, OEM perspective, materials, education, and the broader market conversation. The goal is to keep the community focused on what is useful, not what is trendy.
Where this is going
The Taktisphere is built on the foundation of what Taktiful has been doing for years: training, research, practical enablement, and software solutions dedicated to digital embellishments. We first introduced the Taktisphere publicly at PRINTING United Expo, and the early response confirmed what we already suspected: the industry is ready for a focused embellishment community.
Over the coming year, we will roll out additional programming, partnerships, advisory initiatives, and certifications. This is not a one-time launch moment. It is the start of building the long-term home for this space.
Join the Taktisphere
The Taktisphere is now open to early members. If you are a printer, designer, brand, or OEM who wants to learn faster, connect with the right people, and build real momentum in embellishment, come join us.
